You're invited to identify regional priorities across Queensland to help shape the Regional Infrastructure Plans that are being developed to support our new State Infrastructure Strategy.
To share your priorities, add a comment to the map by dragging one of the four guiding objectives to a region.
Our guiding objectives
About the project
With Queensland’s infrastructure needs transforming due to population growth, changing demographics, the impacts of COVID-19 and other factors, it’s time for a new infrastructure strategy.
The new State Infrastructure Strategy will be supported by seven Regional Infrastructure Plans. With a continued strong focus on our regions, the introduction of Regional Infrastructure Plans will help to further align regional infrastructure investment with regional priorities to drive economic recovery, boost regional productivity and resilience, and sustain jobs.
These are being developed through industry and regional engagement presenting an opportunity for regional stakeholders to help identify and prioritise necessary infrastructure on a regional basis. The Regional Infrastructure Plans will introduce a more place-based approach to regional infrastructure planning to create prosperous communities, local jobs and more liveable, resilient regions.
The plans are being delivered progressively from late 2021.
Note: While your thoughts on regional priorities will strategically inform forward infrastructure planning this website won't be used to develop or prioritise a forward pipeline of infrastructure projects. The Queensland Government Infrastructure Pipeline, released in September 2021, outlines a detailed program of our four-year $52.2 billion infrastructure spend.
